Humayun Saeed, born on July 27, 1971, is a renowned Pakistani actor and producer. Over the years, he has become a prominent figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry, appearing in numerous television dramas and films. Saeed has earned accolades such as the Lux Style Awards and ARY Film Awards. Beyond acting, he runs the media production house Six Sigma Plus, which produces television dramas and commercial movies. Humayun Saeed was born in Karachi into a well-educated and liberal Punjabi family. He attended Nasra School in Karachi, where he excelled academically, earning distinctions throughout his school years. He continued his education at St. Patrick’s College in Karachi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce. Before entering the entertainment industry, Saeed worked as a general manager at a garments factory. Despite his success, he described himself as “shy” during his childhood.

Career
Debut and Breakthrough
Humayun Saeed began his career as a television producer in the late 1980s, although his first production was not successful. His powerful presence soon caught the attention of directors, leading to acting roles in television shows. Saeed made his acting debut in 1995 with the action drama “Karoron Ka Aadmi,” produced by Nadeem Ali Khan and directed by Shamoon Abbasi. He followed this with “Ye Jahaan,” a musical telecast in 1996. His performance in “Ab Tum Ja Saktay Ho,” directed by Mehreen Jabbar, earned him the best actor award, marking the beginning of his successful acting career.
Continued Success
Throughout his career, Saeed has balanced acting and television production. In the late 1990s, he partnered with Sultana Siddiqui and later with Abdullah Kadwani for 7th Sky Entertainment. Saeed ventured into Bollywood with the film “Jashan” in 2009, where he played a negative role.

In 2016, Saeed gained recognition for his role as Mohid in the drama “Dil Lagi.” In 2020, he played Danish in “Meray Paas Tum Ho,” which became one of the most acclaimed Pakistani dramas. The show received positive reactions from audiences in India, who compared Saeed to Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan.
In January 2022, Saeed was cast as Dr. Hasnat Khan, known for his relationship with Princess Diana, in the fifth season of the popular series “The Crown.”

Since 2013, Saeed has starred in several commercially successful films, including “Main Hoon Shahid Afridi,” “Bin Roye,” “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani,” and “Punjab Nahi Jaungi.” “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani” is the fourth highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time, while “Punjab Nahi Jaungi” is the second highest-grossing Pakistani film and the highest-grossing film of 2017 in Pakistani cinema. In 2018, he starred in “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2,” which became the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time.
Future Projects
After the success of “Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2,” Saeed announced plans for three more films. He mentioned that a third film in the “JPNA” franchise is in the works, alongside two other films written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Vasay Chaudhry.
